For the first time, Fat Boys will join hands with Rouge Entertainment to bring Rasheeda, a top hip-hop recording artiste for a concert in Kampala.
The US-based rapper Rasheeda a.k.a the Queen of Crunk is set to headline a concert to take place at Kyadondo Rugby Club on June 26. She kicked off her music career in the early 90s as a member of the teenage trio known as Da Kapers.
Rasheeda, who launched her solo career in 2001, already has four albums to her credit and she is set to release her fifth one titled Certified Hot Chick. She promised to sample some songs off the new album during her performance in Kampala.
Crunk music is a male-dominated type of music categorised under the hip-hopgenre, which originates from Southern America.
Raheeda's outstanding musical talent impressed internationally acclaimed stars like Akon, Lil Jon, East Side Boyz and others who ended up making duets with her.
The concert has been code-named The Crunk Cookout.
According to the show organisers Aly Allibhai and Darren Dooley, it is not anything like the usual average shows.
"This is a Crunk Coockout and has to live up to the true norms of a Southern American style cookout. The event will feature great food, tasty cocktails, and lots of different cold drinks," Darren said.
