Crank City…If It Don’t Crank Then It Ain’t From Us!! Crank City is a company that is dedicated to providing the people with compelling, articulate, and most importantly "fun music." As a collective group Crank City takes pride in diversifying the selection of music that is created. Influenced by all genres and cultures, it is very difficult to label the group as just Hip-Hop artists. There are various cultural components, ranging from the Island of Trinidad to the Continent of Africa all the way to the streets of Washington D.C. and Massachusetts that have come together to develop an innovative form of music. Composed of 4 music producers/band members and a sole lyricist, Crank City is blazing the trail for a new form of Hip-Hop. Heavily Influenced by D.C. “Go-Go” music, West Indian “Soca” music, Neo-Soul, and Alternative, Crank City aims to further outstretch the arms of Rap music. Each member possesses a separate insight and vibe that they bring to the table when creating the music that gives each song a unique twist! Still, Crank City is a product of Hip-Hop, so it’s only natural to have an up-to-date trendy feel to each record. What has the swagger of a B-Boy, an acute awareness of the realities of life, and the power of a political speech?
